How to Personalize Your Hintible Journey

Personalization makes your videos more engaging by pulling details—like a contact’s first name—straight from HubSpot. Here’s how to do it.

 

Step 1: Choose the Video to Personalize

Select the video you want to personalize.

Most people personalize the first video, but you can do this on any video in the journey.

Step 2: Turn On Bulk Personalization

In the left panel, toggle Bulk Personalize ON.

This lets you personalize for one contact or an entire HubSpot list.

Step 3: Add Personalization Tokens

  1. In your script, click where you want to insert a personalized detail.

  2. Click the personalization token icon (the {} brackets).

  3. Choose a HubSpot property (e.g., First Name) from the dropdown.

Step 4: Click Share

When you’re ready to personalize and send, click Share.

Step 5: Choose the Contact

Enter the contact’s email.

If they’re not in HubSpot yet, add them as a new contact.

Step 6: Select a Channel

Choose where to send the journey (Email, LinkedIn, Slack, etc.).

For this example, select LinkedIn.
Click Personalize.

Step 7: Record the Personalized Video

Click Record Video and read your script—be sure to say the personalized field (e.g., the person’s name).

Click Apply when done.

Step 8: Check Captions

Make sure the preview caption for the clickable GIF is under 160 characters.

Step 9: Share Your Journey

Click Share.

Once the clickable GIF is generated, click Copy and paste it into your email. Send it!

✅ That’s it! Your journey will now track every interaction and sync the data directly to the contact’s record in HubSpot.
